The photographs here all involve activities on snow. Skiing photographs are the largest group of black and white pictures but snowshoeing and mountaineering above the snow line are also included here.
Skiing includes photos taken on and around downhill pistes (groomed runs) including Chamonix, Morzine, Tignes, Zermatt, Saas Fee, St Anton, Lech and Ischgl as well as ski mountaineering on some of the big mountains in the Alps, including the Breithorn, Strahlhorn, Mont Blanc range and images from the skiers Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt. For views that you see from ski areas there are also photos under the Landscapes Gallery section. There are also a few odd skiing and snowboarding shots taken in Scotland and the Peak District!
