Black and White Landscape Photos - Lake District

The Lake District gallery contains black and white landscape photographs of the hills, mountains and countryside across Northern England. Images include famous peaks and features where quite a bit of effort was involved in taking the shots, like Striding Edge and Helvellyn. Others were close to the car like the lake-side Windermere and Wastwater shots. The Ling Cove Falls and Esk Falls photos were an easy few miles from the foot of the Hardknott Pass, near Brotherilkeld.

Scafell Pike and Wastwater~Lake District~Scafell Pike (978m), highest mountain in England, seen across the waters of Wastwater in the English Lake District. Scafell (964m) is the peak in the clouds just to the right of Scafell Pike which is further back and actually looks lower from this viewpoint. Great Gable and Scafell Range from Red Pike~Lake District~Great Gable (899m) is the rocky lump on the left of the photograph. Scafell Pike (978m), highest mountain in England, is just right of the cairn with Scafell (964m) at the right hand edge. Taken from the summit of Red Pike (826m) near Yewbarrow (616m).
